One of the things I enjoy most as Friends of the Library President is the opportunity to connect with members of our community and share all the ways we support our fantastic library system. Attending a variety of events is a great way to spread that word, and we have one such event coming up very soon!
Via Colori® Stafford is a fun, two-day street festival celebrating the art and culture of our region, as well as showcasing local non-profits and the important work they do. As in years past, the Friends are sponsoring an art square, and talented artists from the library will bring the design to life. We will also be hosting a vendor table, meeting festival attendees, and sharing what the Friends of the Library do.
We Need Your Help!
Via Colori® Stafford is being held on September 27-28, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day at Stafford Regional Airport, and we need volunteers to help out at our table. If you're able to contribute a couple of hours that weekend, please complete this form and let us know your availability. Once we receive your response, someone will be in touch with more details. It is such a fun event, and I hope you're able to join us!
As the library has grown, so has our organization. The Friends of the Library is an all-volunteer group, and, as we've increased our membership, we have also increased our need for volunteers. We are grateful to our current volunteers who work the book sales, as well as process and sort donations; our success is in no small part because of your hard work. We also hope there are more of you who would like to donate some of your time to us--either as a regular volunteer or as an occasional helper.
The second part of the form asks about your interest in different volunteer categories and if you prefer to work at a specific library location. You are under no obligation to volunteer by completing this form. When volunteer opportunities become available, we will reach out and ask if you are available; you get to choose which opportunities are best for you and your schedule.
